How many of us agree children, at a very young age, feel the emotional pull of not being equal to other children due to the inadequacies of the  financial situations of their home?  When nap time rolls around, does your center provide the nap time sheets or do the parents provide them?  When the parents provide the bedding, a classroom is  supplied with non-uniformed bedding.

Schools have dealt with the issue of socially environmental conflicts for years with an example being the clothes children wear.  When schools allow children to enter school in their personal clothes, statics show an arena of economic awareness is brought forth leading to many problems in schools.  Therefore, uniforms have been implemented  to combat the emotional stigma associated with a family’s economic situation bringing the children to an equal playing field.

Studies show school uniforms mask the income difference between families.  All children dress the same, whether rich or poor.  They also increase the students’ self-esteem because they do not have to participate in the “school fashion show.”   A child is not alienated.  Dressing alike helps students learn what counts is on the inside.

Children, at a very young age, are exposed to the above statements even at nap time. If their parents provide them with blankets or towels that do not compare to another children’s over-the-top bedding, the children know the difference.  This can play a role in making an equivalent emotional impact on the child.  Feeling  insufficient doesn’t make anyone feel good at any age.

When a child is provided uniformed nap time bedding, the scenarios above disperses.  After 20 years of visiting schools and child care centers, owners, directors, teachers and parents share the opinion, children of any age, even a one year old, knows the difference in their bedding at nap time.

The question arises, why not provide the same sheets and covers to the children when napping.  I have been told, when a child brings in a really nice cute blanket or cover to nap time, the other children long to have the same type item.   Teachers see the less fortunate children eyeing the child with the more “expensive” towel, sheet or sleeping bag.  Having the same sheets across the room cuts out all of the unnecessary emotions.

This is where Happi-Nappi fits into the picture.  Happi-Nappi provides a high quality two in one unit, cot or mat sheet. The two in one sheet includes the top sheet and the bottom cover sewn together to make one unit.  Having the nap time bedding one unit, makes nap time more effective for the children, workers and parents.  Just like the school’s clothing policy being a uniform, nap time becomes uniformed too.  There is no more emotional desire for someone else’s bedding.

A classroom looks and feels clean and crisp.  Besides being uniformed, the Happi-Nappi Sheets resembles a cocoon in the way it provides protection and a sense of safety for the children.  It is reported that children who normally don’t nap are now napping due to using the Happi-Nappi sheet. The covers stay on the children because they can wrap up in the top sheet.  Children and teachers find it easy to use.

With a classroom full of Happi-Nappi’s, nap time becomes a peaceful setting for all.

Kim,

Thank you for your post. I ran into a grandmother yesterday, who just couldn't understand why she couldn't send her granddaughter to school with a animal head sleeping bag. She was complaining to me that she doesn't like the school having uniformity with their nap sheets.
I tried to explain to her that not all children have the access to such nice sleeping bags, therefore it is important to have the same nap time sheets for all children. I also explained that children of any age can get their feelings hurt due to their parents not being able to afford a cute sleeping bag. She never understood the concept. God bless her.

Children do know the difference and it's not their fault their blanket may not match up to the child sleeping next to them.

Thank you.

You covered all the necessary information to communicate the effect and importance of equality in school. Their social status is reflected on how they present themselves to others. Thus, having the same dress covers the social condition of the family. Anyways, I am truly impressed with your post since it is well researched.

Thank you for sharing this post with us, I am working in Child Care Sales as a sales manager. Understand how to achieve best napping time for your baby not just helps in brain development and boost up in immune systems, but some analysis indicate daytime napping improves child's memory. From the child's biology perspective, child's energy levels tend to decrease after midday hence the restorative is necessary.

You need to share this with the upper powers involved with young children, since nap time is being taken out of the the kindergarten programs in several states. I hear teachers all the time say the children need a nap or rest time even in kindergarten. I agree even if it is only until December. Heck, my energy levels drop at my age. We all need a power nap.

If you know anyone needing quality cot or mat sheets, please share Happi-Nappi with them.

Thank you,
Cynthia

Quality kid consideration is not intended to play the spot of the part of essential folks, however it is critical to understand its impact on ahead of schedule adolescence learning and improvement. Numerous folks in low-salary neighborhoods swing to "family, companion and neighbor care," which is offered in a home-based setting outside a kid's own particular home, by both directed and unregulated suppliers.
